(1) A decision of the Mental Health Tribunal is not invalid only because of a defect or irregularity in, or in connection with, the appointment of the President, Deputy President or another Tribunal member.
(2) If a person's appointment as a Tribunal member expires during the hearing of a proceeding or other matter, for the purposes of this Act, the person is taken to be a Tribunal member until the proceeding or other matter before the Mental Health Tribunal is finally concluded.
(3) A proceeding of the Mental Health Tribunal is not invalidated or affected if the proceeding was not heard within the timeframes specified under this Act for a proceeding of that kind as a result of an accidental or unintentional miscalculation of time.
