MELBOURNE MARKET AUTHORITY ACT 1977 - SECT 20

Limitation on extent to which Authority may enter into contracts

S. 20(1) amended by Nos 35/1988 s. 19, 127/1993 s. 9(1), 40/2019 ss 68, 78(4).

    (1)     Before entering into any contract the consideration of which exceeds $750 000, the Authority shall submit to the Minister such particulars as are from time to time required by the Minister to be submitted to the Minister by the Authority with respect to such contracts.

    (2)     A contract made by the Authority the consideration of which exceeds $750 000 shall not have any force or effect unless sanctioned by the Minister.

    (3)     Nothing in this section applies to or in respect of an agreement under Part V.
