OFFSHORE PETROLEUM AND GREENHOUSE GAS STORAGE ACT 2010 - SECT 188

A person must not intentionally—

        (a)     start to construct or reconstruct an infrastructure facility; or

        (b)     continue to construct or reconstruct an infrastructure facility; or

        (c)     start to alter an infrastructure facility; or

        (d)     continue to alter an infrastructure facility; or

        (e)     operate an infrastructure facility—

in the offshore area unless that person is authorised by an infrastructure licence or otherwise authorised or required by or under this Act.

Penalty:     Imprisonment for 5 years.
