Acceptance of offer—request by applicant

a work‑bid petroleum exploration permit

(a)     30 days after the offer document was given to the applicant;

(b)     such longer period, not more than 60 days after the offer document was given to the applicant, as the Minister allows—

the permit.

a cash‑bid petroleum exploration permit

30 days after the offer document was given to the applicant,

the permit.

3

a special petroleum exploration permit

whichever of the following periods is applicable—

(a)     90 days after the offer document was given to the applicant;

(b)     such longer period, not more than 180 days after the offer document was given to the applicant, as the Minister allows—

the permit.

4

the renewal of a petroleum exploration permit

30 days after the offer document was given to the applicant,

the renewal of the permit.

the licence.

the renewal of a petroleum production licence

an infrastructure licence

whichever of the following periods is applicable—

(a)     90 days after the offer document was given to the applicant;

(b)     such longer period, not more than 180 days after the offer document was given to the applicant, as the Minister allows—

the licence.

a pipeline licence

whichever of the following periods is applicable—

(a)     90 days after the offer document was given to the applicant;

(b)     such longer period, not more than 180 days after the offer document was given to the applicant, as the Minister allows—

the licence.

    (2)     The Minister may allow a longer period under paragraph (b) of column 2 of item 1 or 5 of the table only on written application made by the applicant within the period of 30 days mentioned in paragraph (a) of that column.

    (3)     The Minister may allow a longer period under paragraph (b) of column 2 of item 3, 7, 9 or 10 of the table only on written application made by the applicant within the period of 90 days mentioned in paragraph (a) of that column.

    (4)     If an applicant does not make a request under an item of the table within the period applicable under column 2 of the table, the application lapses at the end of that period.
