Victorian Current Acts Victorian Current ActsA police officer or an authorised person may, during an inspection of a completed register or copy of such a register under section 143, seize the completed register or a copy if he or she believes on reasonable grounds that there has been a contravention of this Act or the regulations and the seizure is necessary—
(a) for the purposes of investigation into the alleged contravention; or
(b) to enable evidence to be obtained for the purpose of any proceedings under this Act or the regulations.
