VICTORIAN INSPECTORATE ACT 2011 - SECT 62

Power to examine on oath or affirmation

    (1)     A Victorian Inspectorate Officer who is authorised to do so by the Inspector may administer an oath or affirmation to a person.

    (2)     A Victorian Inspectorate Officer who is authorised to do so by the Inspector may, in relation to a person summoned to attend at an examination—

        (a)     require the person to either take an oath or make an affirmation;

        (b)     administer an oath or affirmation to the person;

        (c)     examine the person and require the person to answer questions or provide information in accordance with the witness summons;

        (d)     require the person to produce documents or things in accordance with the witness summons.

    (3)     A Victorian Inspectorate Officer may witness a statutory declaration from any witness or other person.
