WATER ACT 1989 - SECT 291A

Appointment of authorised water officers

S. 291A(1) amended by No. 17/2012 s. 54(2).

    (1)     An Authority may appoint a person as an authorised water officer.

    (2)     An appointment under subsection (1)—

        (a)     must be in writing; and

S. 291A(2)(b) substituted by No. 17/2012 s. 54(3).

        (b)     must specify the Authority on whose behalf the person is appointed to act.

    (3)     An Authority may require a person appointed under this section to undertake specified training before exercising any powers, functions or duties under this Act.
