(1) If a certificate of final inspection is issued in relation to a building or building work involving the transmission signal of an alarm required, under these Regulations or any previous corresponding regulations, to be connected to a fire station or other alarm monitoring service, the relevant building surveyor must notify the chief officer within 10 days after issuing the certificate that—
(a) the certificate has been issued; and
(b) the required connection has been made.
(2) If a certificate of final inspection is issued and the chief officer was a reporting authority in relation to the application for the relevant building permit, the relevant building surveyor must notify the chief officer of the issue of the certificate within 10 days after issuing the certificate.
