Victorian Consolidated Regulations Victorian Consolidated Regulations(1) A provider must ensure that any vehicle used to transport a patient carries all the equipment and supplies necessary to meet the patient's clinical needs for the duration of the transport, including an Automated External Defibrillator, portable oxygen, suction and a bag valve mask.
Penalty: 20 penalty units.

(2) A provider must ensure that all stretchers carried in vehicles are power lift stretchers.

(3) A provider must ensure that any vehicle equipped with a stretcher carries a lifting cushion at all times.
Penalty: 20 penalty units.

(4) Subregulation (2) does not apply to clinic transport service vehicles and hoist vehicles transporting low acuity patients.
