Victorian Consolidated Regulations Victorian Consolidated Regulations(1) An employer or self-employed person performing limited asbestos removal work must provide facilities for decontamination of the work area, tools and equipment and personal decontamination for the duration of the asbestos removal work that are suitable for the removal work being performed.
Penalty: 100 penalty units for a natural person;
500 penalty units for a body corporate.
(2) An employer or self-employed person performing limited asbestos removal work must ensure that a person does not remove personal protective clothing or personal protective equipment that is likely to be contaminated with asbestos from the area where the asbestos removal work is being performed unless the clothing or equipment is decontaminated or contained before the removal.
Penalty: 100 penalty units for a natural person;
500 penalty units for a body corporate.
