Victorian Consolidated Regulations Victorian Consolidated Regulations(1) On completion of Class A or Class B asbestos removal work, the person who commissioned the asbestos removal work must arrange for a visual inspection by an independent person to verify that there is no visible asbestos residue remaining as a result of the work in the area where the work was performed or in the area immediately surrounding the area where the work was performed.

(1A) Despite subregulation (1), a visual
inspection by an independent person is not required if the
asbestos removal work consisted only of the removal of non-friable
asbestos‑containing material not exceeding 10 square metres in
total.
(2) On completion of Class A asbestos removal work for which asbestos paraoccupational air monitoring was required, the person who commissioned the asbestos removal work must arrange for asbestos paraoccupational air monitoring to be conducted within the enclosed area, to verify that the airborne asbestos fibre level is less than 0·01 f/ml.
