(1) This regulation applies if the Secretary believes on reasonable grounds that a record containing information referred to under regulation 67 in relation to a driver licence or learner permit is inaccurate or misleading.

(2) The Secretary, by written notice given to the person who holds the driver licence or learner permit, may require the person to—

(a) give evidence to the Secretary, in the way specified in the notice, about anything relevant to the issuing, variation or continuation of the licence or permit, including the person's personal particulars; or

(b) give the Secretary specified documents for inspection; or
(c) attend at a time and place specified in the notice for identification.
Note
Failure to comply with the notice may result in the person's driver licence or permit being suspended or cancelled under regulation 81.
(3) A person who is required under subregulation (2)(c) to attend at a specified time and place may request a change to the time or place.

(4) If a request is made under subregulation (3), the Secretary must—
(a) consider the request; and

(b) give written notification to the person of the Secretary's decision.

(5) After complying with this regulation, the Secretary may alter a record if the Secretary considers that it is inaccurate or misleading.
