ROAD SAFETY (DRIVERS) REGULATIONS 2019 - REG 98

Appeals about demerit points

Reg. 98(1) amended by S.R. No. 172/2019 reg. 5(Sch. 2 item 81).

    (1)     For the purposes of section 46H(3) of the Act, notice of appeal is given when written notice of the appeal, endorsed by a registrar of the Magistrates' Court, is served on the Secretary in accordance with regulation 96.

    (2)     For the purposes of section 46I(3)(b) of the Act, a notice in writing of the discontinuance of an appeal must, at least 4 days before the hearing day, be—

        (a)     lodged with a registrar of the Magistrates' Court; and

        (b)     served on the Secretary.
