Victorian Consolidated Regulations Victorian Consolidated Regulations(1) If the trial judge makes an order referred to in section 311(1) of the Act for restitution or for the payment of compensation, the trial judge may direct that the order take effect immediately unless security is given to the satisfaction of the person in whose favour the order is made.
(2) A direction under paragraph (1) may be given notwithstanding that the order would otherwise be stayed under section 311 of the Act or Rule 2.48.
