WILDLIFE (STATE GAME RESERVES) REGULATIONS 2014 - REG 9

Reg. 9(1) amended by S.R. No. 128/2018 reg. 8(1).

    (1)     The land manager may make a determination setting aside an area of a reserve—

        (a)     as an area to which access is prohibited; or

        (b)     as an area to which access is restricted.

    (2)     The land manager must not make a determination under subregulation (1) unless the land manager considers that the determination is necessary for the purposes of—

        (a)     the protection or management of flora, wildlife and associated habitat; or

        (b)     the control or management of animals (other than wildlife) and associated habitat; or

        (c)     the protection of structures (including buildings), bridges, dams, weirs, facilities, amenities, tracks, trails and other assets; or

        (d)     the planting of trees, shrubs, grass or other vegetation; or

        (e)     the re-establishment of vegetation; or

        (f)     the reclamation of land; or

        (g)     public safety.
