CORONERS ACT 2008 (NO. 77 OF 2008) - SECT 97

Registrars of the Coroners Court and the chief executive officer

    (1)     For the purposes of this Act and to assist in the administration of the Coroners Court there are to be employed under Part 3 of the Public Administration Act 2004

        (a)     a chief executive officer; and

        (b)         a principal registrar; and

        (c)     as many registrars and deputy registrars as are necessary.

    (2)     Any person who for the time being holds the office of registrar or deputy registrar of the Magistrates' Court also holds the office of registrar or deputy registrar (as the case requires) of the Coroners Court.

    (3)     The State Coroner may, by notice given to the Secretary to the Department of Justice, specify qualifications (including training, skill and experience) required to be held, or examinations in specified subjects required to be passed, by any person seeking to be employed under Part 3 of the Public Administration Act 2004 as a registrar or in a class of registrar.
