DISABILITY SERVICE SAFEGUARDS ACT 2018 (NO. 38 OF 2018) - SECT 116

Notice to be given about panel's decision

    (1)     As soon as practicable after making a decision under section 113 or 114, a panel must give notice of its decision to the Board.

    (2)     The Board, within 30 days after the panel makes its decision, must give written notice of the decision to—

        (a)     the registered disability worker or disability student who is the subject of the hearing; and

        (b)     if the hearing related to a notification or complaint, the notifier or the complainant, as the case requires; and

        (c)     the employer, if any, of the registered disability worker; and

        (d)     in the case of a disability student, the education provider.

    (3)     The notice given to the registered disability worker or disability student must state the following—

        (a)     the decision made by the panel;

        (b)     the reasons for the decision;

        (c)     that the registered disability worker or disability student may apply for review of the decision;

        (d)     how an application for review may be made and the period within which the application must be made.

    (4)     A notice given to a notifier or a complainant may include the reasons for the decision.
