DISABILITY SERVICE SAFEGUARDS ACT 2018 (NO. 38 OF 2018) - SECT 145

Board may develop accreditation standards

The Board may develop one or more accreditation standards about the following matters

        (a)     the assessment of programs of study and the education providers providing those programs of study for the purpose of determining whether the programs meet approved accreditation standards;

        (b)     the assessment of authorities in other jurisdictions who conduct examinations for registration in relation to disability workers or who accredit programs of study relevant to the registration of disability workers for the purpose of deciding whether persons who successfully complete those examinations or programs of study have the knowledge, skills and attributes necessary to be registered as disability workers in Victoria;

        (c)     the assessment of the knowledge, skills and attributes of overseas qualified disability workers who seek registration under this Act and whose qualifications do not meet approved accreditation standards.
