(1) In performing a function involving land management on behalf of the Crown or under an Act, a Crown land manager must take all reasonable steps to implement the following in respect of that land—
(a) the Marine and Coastal Policy;
(b) the Marine and Coastal Strategy;
(c) a product made under a regional and strategic partnership;
(d) an environmental management plan;
(e) a coastal and marine management plan.
(2) In the event of any inconsistency between a
document referred to in subsection (1) and the legislation under which any
land affected by the document is managed, or any other legislation applying to
that land, the legislation prevails over the document.
