Victorian Numbered Acts Victorian Numbered ActsAn authorised psychiatrist must take reasonable steps to ensure that, as soon as practicable after commencement of the use of a restrictive intervention on a person, the following persons in relation to the person are notified of its use, the nature of the restrictive intervention and the reason for using it—
(a) the nominated person;
(b) a guardian;
(c) a carer, if the authorised psychiatrist is satisfied that the use of the restrictive intervention will affect the carer and the care relationship;
(d) a parent, if the person is under the age of 16 years;
(e) the Secretary to the Department of Human Services, if the person is the subject of a custody to Secretary order or a guardianship to Secretary order.
