MENTAL HEALTH ACT 2014 (NO. 26 OF 2014) - SECT 366

Purpose of Codes of Practice

    (1)     The purpose of a Code of Practice is to provide practical guidance to any person or body exercising powers or performing functions and duties under this Act to promote best practice.

    (2)     A Code of Practice cannot—

        (a)     impose a duty on any person; or

        (b)     create an enforceable legal right; or

        (c)     impose any liability or penalty.
