PUBLIC HEALTH AND WELLBEING ACT 2008 (NO. 46 OF 2008) - SECT 246

Transitional regulations

    (1)     The Governor in Council may make regulations containing provisions of a savings or transitional nature consequent on the enactment of this Act.

    (2)     A provision mentioned in subsection (1) may be retrospective in operation to—

        (a)     the commencement of section 242 if it relates to a matter under the Health Act 1958 ; or

        (b)     the commencement of section 248 if it relates to a matter under a provision of the Building Act 1993 repealed by section 248.

    (3)     Regulations made under this section have effect despite anything to the contrary in any Act (other than this Act or the Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities) or in any subordinate instrument.

    (4)     This section expires on 1 January 2011.
