SEX WORK DECRIMINALISATION ACT 2022 (NO. 7 OF 2022) - SECT 43

At the end of Part 7 of the Crimes Act 1958 insert —

        "     639     Transitional provision—Sex Work Decriminalisation Act 2022

    (1)     The amendments made to this Act by the Sex Work Decriminalisation Act 2022 apply to an offence alleged to have been committed on or after the repeal of the Sex Work Act 1994 .

    (2)     For the purposes of subsection (1), if an offence is alleged to have been committed between 2 dates, one before and one on or after the repeal of the Sex Work Act 1994 , the offence is alleged to have been committed before that repeal.".
