WILDLIFE AMENDMENT (MARINE MAMMALS) ACT 2008 (NO. 45 OF 2008) - SECT 1

The purposes of this Act are to—

        (a)     amend the Wildlife Act 1975 to further provide for permits as to whale watching tours and whale swim tours; and

        (b)     amend the Wildlife Act 1975 to provide for seal tour permits; and

        (c)     amend the Wildlife Act 1975     to extend powers to make regulations under the Act; and

        (d)     amend the Wildlife Act 1975     to make further provision for authorisations to carry out activities otherwise prohibited by the Act; and

        (e)     to make other minor amendments to the Wildlife Act 1975 ; and

        (f)     to make related amendments to the Crimes (Controlled Operations) Act 2004 .
