ZERO AND LOW EMISSION VEHICLE DISTANCE-BASED CHARGE ACT 2021 (NO. 18 OF 2021) - SECT 31

    (1)     While the registration of a ZLEV is suspended under section 29, the ZLEV is unregistered for the purposes of Part 2 of the Road Safety Act 1986 .

    (2)     Despite subsection (1) it is not an offence against the Road Safety Act 1986 to—

        (a)     leave a ZLEV whose registration has been suspended under section 29 standing on a highway; or

        (b)     use a ZLEV whose registration has been suspended under section 29(1)(c) on a highway for the sole purpose of presenting it for inspection by the Secretary or an authorised officer under Division 2 of Part 5.

    (3)     Suspension under section 29 does not alter the expiry date for the registration of a ZLEV under the Road Safety Act 1986 .
