Victorian Numbered Regulations Victorian Numbered Regulations(1) A person who uses skis, a snowboard or other device for skiing in an alpine resort, must ensure that it is fitted with a strap or other mechanism that is designed for and capable of stopping the skis, snowboard or other device if it becomes unattached from the skier.
Penalty: 20 penalty units.
(2) Subregulation (1) does not apply to a person who uses cross country skis or a snowboard that is attached to the skier by a mechanism incapable of automatic release.
