(1) On receiving an application from a licence holder under section 27(4) of the Act to alter the specification of a tow truck in a tow truck licence, VicRoads may direct the licence holder to produce the tow truck proposed to be specified in the tow truck licence for inspection at a time and location specified by VicRoads.
(2) The time and location specified by VicRoads under subregulation (1) must be reasonable, having regard to the current location of the tow truck that is to be inspected.
(3) An inspection under subregulation (1) may only be performed by an authorised officer.
(4) VicRoads may refuse to consider an application from a licence holder under section 27(4) of the Act if the licence holder does not comply with a direction under subregulation (1).
