EVIDENCE (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) (TRANSCRIPT FEES) REGULATIONS 2017 (SR NO 26 OF 2017) - REG 5

Fees payable to the Crown under the Evidence (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1958

    (1)     The fees payable to the Crown under the Evidence (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1958 for supply by the Crown of a transcript of evidence in any legal proceeding, are the following—

        (a)     for transcribing and supplying transcript in electronic format, if transcribing is necessary—1 11 fee units per page;

        (b)     for supplying transcript in electronic format, if the evidence has already been transcribed—$0.81 per page;

        (c)     in addition to any fee payable under paragraph (a) or (b), for transcript supplied in hard copy—$0.09 per page.

    (2)     Subregulation (1) does not apply to a transcript of evidence directed to be transcribed by a person acting judicially under section 130 of the Evidence (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1958 .
