Victorian Numbered Regulations Victorian Numbered RegulationsFor the purposes of section 96(2)(c) of the Act, a master who is the holder of a certificate of local knowledge issued under this Division is not required to use the services of a pilot in port waters if the vessel that the master has command or charge of—
(a) is a vessel of a type that the holder of the certificate is authorised to operate by a current valid certificate of competency issued by the Director; and
(b) is a vessel greater than 35 metres in length and operates either permanently, or for the time being solely, within the limits of port waters.
