ROAD SAFETY (DRIVERS), (GENERAL) AND (VEHICLES) INTERIM AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 2020 (SR NO 105 OF 2020) - REG 63

    (1)     After regulation 196(1) of the Road Safety (Vehicles) Interim Regulations 2020 insert —

    "(1A)     The Secretary, from time to time, may vary a condition, limitation or restriction of a tester's licence.

    (1B)         If the Secretary varies a condition, limitation or restriction of a tester's licence, the Secretary must give written notice to the licence holder of—

        (a)                 the varied condition, limitation or restriction; and

        (b)         the date from which the varied condition, limitation or restriction applies.".

    (2)     In regulation 196(2) of the Road Safety (Vehicles) Interim Regulations 2020, after "tester" insert "or an examining mechanic".

    (3)     After regulation 196(2) of the Road Safety (Vehicles) Interim Regulations 2020 insert —

    "(3)     Non-compliance with a condition, limitation or restriction of the tester's licence is a breach of the regulations for the purpose of section 15A(1)(d) of the Act.".
