ROAD SAFETY (GENERAL) AND ROAD SAFETY (ROAD RULES) AMENDMENT (MOBILE PHONES AND SEATBELTS) REGULATIONS 2009 (SR NO 46 OF 2009) - REG 4

    (1)     In item 31 of Schedule 4 to the Road Safety (Road Rules) Regulations 1999 ^[2] , for "3 penalty units" substitute "10 penalty units".

    (2)     After item 40 of Schedule 4 to the Road Safety (Road Rules) Regulations 1999, insert —

'41.     Rule 264(1) of the Road Rules is to be read as if for the penalty at the foot of the rule there were substituted—

"Penalty:     10 penalty units.".

42.     Rule 265(1) of the Road Rules is to be read as if for the penalty at the foot of the rule there were substituted—

"Penalty:     10 penalty units.".

43.     Rule 266(1) of the Road Rules is to be read as if for the penalty at the foot of the rule there were substituted—

"Penalty:     10 penalty units.".'.
