ROAD SAFETY (GENERAL) (YOUNG DRIVERS) INTERIM REGULATIONS 2007 (SR NO 73 OF 2007) - REG 5

    (1)     In Schedule 4 to the Principal Regulations, in the table under the subheading "Safety Procedures" for the item relating to Code 2078 substitute —

"2078	Use hand held mobile phone while driving	RR 300(1)(b)	1·35 penalty units
2079	Learner driver using any mobile phone	RR 300(1)(a)	1·35 penalty units".

    (2)     In Schedule 4 to the Principal Regulations, in the table under the subheading "Licensing and Registration"—

        (a)         for the item relating to Code 2110 substitute —

"2110

Probationary driver who drives a high powered motor vehicle on a highway

2 penalty units.";

        (b)     after the item relating to Code 2607 insert —

"2608	Person aged less than 26 years failing to have licence in his or her possession while driving or in charge of motor vehicle	RSA 19(8)	0·5 penalty units
2609	Holder of learner permit failing to have learner permit in his or her possession while driving or in charge or motor vehicle	RSA 22(6)	0·5 penalty units".
