Victorian Numbered Regulations Victorian Numbered RegulationsThe objective of these Regulations is to—
(a) amend the Road Safety (Road Rules) (Young Drivers) Interim Regulations 2007 to continue in operation interim amendments to the Road Safety (Road Rules) Regulations 1999 [1] that—
(i) prescribe an offence prohibiting the holder of a driver licence who is accompanying a learner driver from permitting a motor vehicle to be driven at excessive speed;
(ii) amend the Road Rules relating to mobile phone use;
(b) amend the Road Safety (Road Rules) Regulations 1999 to extend an offence relating to the use of mobile telephones to P1 probationary drivers.
