ROAD SAFETY (VEHICLES) (REGISTRATION RENEWAL) REGULATIONS 2005 (SR NO 145 OF 2005) - REG 6

After regulation 227(1) of the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 1999 insert —

    "(1A)     An applicant for renewal of registration of a vehicle referred to in—

        (a)     clause (4) of Schedule 4; or

        (b)     item 13, item 13A, item 13B or item 14 of the Table in Schedule 4—

may nominate a period of 6 months as the period of renewed registration for that vehicle.

    Note:     Regulation 236(2) provides for a pro rata fee in respect of renewal of registration for a period other than 12 months.

    (1B)     Sub-regulation (1A) applies even if the fee for renewal of registration of the relevant vehicle is nil.".
