ROAD SAFETY (AUTOMATED VEHICLES) REGULATIONS 2018 (SR NO 120 OF 2018) - REG 13

In this Part—

"modification" has the same meaning as in section 247A(1) of the Crimes Act 1958 ;

"serious incident "means any of the following—

        (a)     an accident involving an automated vehicle;

        (b)     a speeding offence under section 65B of the Act or Part 3 of the Road Rules involving an automated vehicle;

        (c)     an offence under Part 6, 7 or 10 of the Road Rules involving an automated vehicle;

        (d)         theft or carjacking of an automated vehicle;

        (e)         tampering with, unauthorised access to, modification of, or impairment of the automated driving system of an automated vehicle;

        (f)     failure of an automated driving system of an automated vehicle that would impair the reliability, security or operation of that automated driving system.
