Reports of proceedings34. Reports of proceedings (1) Unless the Intellectual Disability Review Panel otherwise determines in a particular case a person must not publish or broadcast or cause to be published or broadcast any report of the proceedings of the Intellectual Disability Review Panel. (2) Where the Intellectual Disability Review Panel considers it would be in the public interest to do so the Intellectual Disability Review Panel may determine that a person may publish or broadcast or cause to be published or broadcast a report of any proceedings of the Intellectual Disability Review Panel provided that- (a) the report does not contain any particulars calculated to lead to the identification of any person in respect of whom the proceedings have been brought or any other person concerned in the proceedings; and (b) pictures are not taken of any person in respect of whom proceedings have been brought or any other person concerned in the proceedings. (3) Any person who contravenes this section is guilty of an offence against this Act and liable to a penalty of not more than 20 penalty units.
