The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows: page 1 Treasurer's Advance Authorisation Bill 2009 s. 1 1 1. Short title 2 This is the Treasurer's Advance Authorisation Act 2009. 3 2. Commencement 4 This Act comes into operation as follows -- 5 (a) sections 1 and 2 -- on the day on which this Act 6 receives the Royal Assent; 7 (b) the rest of the Act -- on the day after that day. 8 3. Authorisation of expenditure to make payments in respect 9 of extraordinary or unforeseen matters or to make advances 10 for certain purposes 11 (1) Expenditure that exceeds the limit specified in the Financial 12 Management Act 2006 section 29(1) is authorised in the 13 financial year ending on 30 June 2009 to make payments or 14 advances in accordance with section 29(3) of that Act. 15 (2) Payments and advances are authorised to be made under 16 subsection (1) that do not in total exceed $762 273 480. 17
