(1) For the purpose of
receiving applications for probate or administration under this Act, a
magistrate of the Magistrates Court at a place beyond 80 km from Perth shall
be and is hereby appointed to act as a district agent for the Principal
Registrar.
(2) All district
agents may, for the purposes of this Part, administer oaths, take declarations
and affirmations, and exercise any other powers which can be exercised by the
Principal Registrar.
