(1) For the purposes
of this Act there is hereby established a body corporate to be known as the
Aboriginal Lands Trust.
(2) The Trust shall
have perpetual succession and a common seal.
(3) The Trust in its
corporate name —
(a) may
sue and be sued;
(b) is
capable of acquiring and holding real and personal property;
(c)
subject to any general or specific direction given by the Minister under
section 7, is capable of granting, selling, alienating, mortgaging, charging
or demising personal property and, with the prior approval of the Minister, of
dealing in like manner with real property;
(d) is
capable of doing and suffering all such acts and things as bodies corporate
may lawfully do or suffer.
