BAIL ACT 1982 - SECT 25

25 .         Information given by accused for bail purposes not admissible at trial

                A statement made by an accused to a judicial officer or authorised officer for the purpose of a decision whether bail should be granted to him for any appearance in court for an offence shall not be admissible in evidence against him at his trial for that offence.
