(1) The registrar of a
court may, either generally or as otherwise provided by the instrument of
delegation, by instrument signed by him, delegate to an officer of that court
any function conferred on him by or under this Act other than —
(a) this
power of delegation; or
(aa) a
function conferred by section 11(3) or 36(1)(a); or
(b) any
function that a judicial officer has required him to perform personally.
(2) The superintendent
of a detention centre under the Young Offenders Act 1994 may, either
generally or as otherwise provided by the instrument of delegation, by
instrument signed by him, delegate to an officer of the Public Sector agency
principally assisting the Minister administering that Act in its
administration any function conferred on him by or under this Act, other than
this power of delegation.
