(1) The regulations
may provide for matters about inspecting or testing a building or an
incidental structure, or building work or demolition work, to which a building
permit or demolition permit applies.
(2) Without limiting
subsection (1) the regulations may —
(a)
prescribe the inspections or tests that are to be conducted during or at the
completion of building work or demolition work; and
(b) list
the inspections and tests that may be specified by a building surveyor in a
certificate of design compliance for a particular building or incidental
structure as inspections or tests that are to be conducted during or at the
completion of the building work; and
(c)
provide for the persons or classes of persons who may conduct inspections or
tests; and
(d)
provide for the methods to be adopted in the inspection or testing process;
and
(e)
provide for the frequency of inspection or testing or the means for
determining whether, when and how often an inspection or test must be
conducted; and
(f)
provide for persons undertaking building or demolition work to give notice of
having reached, or completed, a stage of building or demolition work; and
(g)
require an inspection certificate to be obtained; and
(h) make
provision in relation to the form of an inspection certificate; and
(i)
provide for the keeping of records in relation to matters
mentioned in this section; and
(j)
provide for the reporting of information about matters mentioned in this
section.
