(1) Having accepted a
building service complaint or a HBWC complaint, the Building Commissioner must
cause an investigation of the complaint to be carried out by one or more
authorised persons.
(2) The Building
Commissioner may, in addition to taking action under subsection (1) in
relation to a complaint, and whether before or after receiving a report on the
investigation of the complaint, forward the complaint to either or both of the
following —
(a) the
relevant permit authority for the relevant building, if any;
(b) if
the Building Commissioner is of the opinion that a matter raised in the
complaint is of relevance to a vocational regulatory body, that body.
