Western Australian Current Acts Western Australian Current Acts The members of the
Legislative Assembly shall, upon their first assembling after every general
election, proceed forthwith to elect one of their number to be Speaker; and in
case of his death, resignation, or removal by a vote of the said Assembly, the
members shall again elect one of their number to be Speaker. The Speaker so
elected shall preside at all meetings of the said Assembly.
