CONSTITUTION ACT 1889 - SECT 74A

74A .         Demise of the Crown

                The demise of the Sovereign —

            (a)         has the effect of transferring all the functions, duties, powers, authorities, rights, privileges and dignities belonging to the Crown to the Sovereign’s successor; but

            (b)         has no other effect in law for any purpose.
