(1) The members of a
co-operative group are —
(a) the
co-operatives by which the co-operative group is formed; and
(b) any
other co-operative, admitted to membership in accordance with the rules of the
co-operative group; and
(c) any
other corporation or other body admitted to membership in accordance with
subsection (2).
(2) A corporation or
other body, not being a co-operative, may be admitted to membership of the
co-operative group if —
(a) it
is incorporated or registered under any other law, whether or not a law of
this State; and
(b) in
the opinion of the board of the co-operative group, it is designed to function
in accordance with co-operative principles; and
(c) it
is eligible to be admitted to membership in accordance with the rules of the
co-operative group.
