appellant —
(a) is
in custody pending the conclusion of an appeal commenced by him or her; and
(b)
requests the chief executive officer (within the meaning of the
Prisons Act 1981 ) to be treated as if he or she was a prisoner on remand,
he or she is to be
treated as such, even if he or she is also in custody serving a sentence in
relation to a conviction neither of which is the subject of an appeal.
