Western Australian Current Acts Western Australian Current Acts (1) It is not a lawful
excuse for the purposes of section 34 for a person to refuse to answer a
question or produce a document on the ground that the answer or the document
might tend to incriminate the person or make the person liable to a penalty.
(2) Despite subsection
(1), an answer given or a document produced by a person in compliance with a
requirement under section 33 is not admissible in evidence in any proceedings
against the person other than proceedings for an offence under section 40.
