In addition to
section 12, an authority to conduct a cross-border controlled operation must
not be granted unless the authorising officer is satisfied on reasonable
grounds —
(a) that
the controlled operation will be, or is likely to be, conducted —
(i)
in this jurisdiction and in one or more participating
jurisdictions; or
(ii)
in one or more participating jurisdictions;
and
(b) that
the nature and extent of the suspected criminal activity are such as to
justify the conduct of a controlled operation —
(i)
in this jurisdiction and in one or more participating
jurisdictions; or
(ii)
in one or more participating jurisdictions.
