If a court convicts an
accused of an offence, then, subject to The Criminal Code section 5, the
Sentencing Act 1995 and the Young Offenders Act 1994 , the court must sentence
the accused for the offence and may make other orders in respect of the
accused under those Acts or any other relevant written law, as the case
requires.
